Julie grew up near Victoria, Mn, and graduated from Chaska High School. She attended The College of St Benedict and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Animal Science and a degree in Natural Resource Management from Mankato State University.

Julie is a wife and mother of three. She and her husband have a farm outside of New Prague by Union Hill where they raise pigs. You will notice on Julie’s bronze plaque a pig coming and going! The barbed wire frame and the corn to feed the pigs. Julie, being a naturalist and a ranger in Alaska before she got married, loves the great outdoors! She loves photography, canoeing, and gardening, and she loves people! Julie has helped by taking some pictures on the Tower project and has been a great support.
