Igor studied at Princeton University A.B. Class 1986; and went to the University of Zaragoza/MIT M.Eng in 2018. Igor is interested in many things and is like an encyclopedia! Nature is one of the things he loves. In the bronze casting class, Igor got interested in the work of Georgia O’Keeffe, The Lawrence Tree, 1929. With the worm’s eye view perspective; looking up from the ground into the canopy of stars, he saw a way to create his bronze plaque and capture the feeling of being in the expansiveness of nature.
Igor was born in Belarus, moved to NYC at 15, and worked with the Seattle fire department after Princeton. He loves to research, understand things, and read. Igor is a master breadmaker and loves to spend time with his wife Dr. Leslie Vilensky, and two daughters, Sophie and Ava.
